Flit Spray

I posted this picture on my page today & many people remembered seeing this at their homes growing up being used to spray for bugs.

Here is an ad I found. Its amazing to me the stuff we used many years ago that is now banned. Launched in 1923.

"Quick, Henry, the Flit!"

Theodore Seuss Geisel (Dr.Seuss) did the artwork campaigning the product before he became the Children's Writer. Do you see a resemblance to anyone in this picture? Hmmm, maybe the Grinch?

One thing is true, I learn something new everyday. I love it!!

I love Lucy

A little Saint Patricks Day love from Lucy

So young in this picture. I can never get used to her without the red hair. Lucille Ball and red hair go hand in hand. She was a wonderful talented actress and comedian. She is truly missed. They do not make them like her anymore.

America's favorite funny girl. She was so funny that I think people overlooked just how beautiful she really was. She started out as a Model. She was very talented.

Both of them were wonderful talents. I never miss an opportunity to watch I love Lucy.

Woolworth's

Good Morning. One of my favorite memories growing up were when my Dad would take us over to Grandma's on a Saturday morning and we would stop at Woolworth's and get a Hot Dog & Soda at the Food Counter. I loved it. Also a little fact about Woolworth's is that is was the 1st Store in America that would allow the Customers to browse through the merchandise and not have to give the Clerk a list behind a counter. All stores had a Clerk that you would tell what you wanted, they would then gather everything behind the counter and bag it for you.
